Apparently it takes 7 kind words to ourselves to overwrite one bad word said to us. I don’t know how true this is but I feel we could all do with hearing more positive things about ourselves.

Please add 7 (or more!) kind words/affirmations or phrases for yourself to remind ourselves of our value and inspire others.

      1. I am kind

      2. I am loving

      3. I am enough

      4. Take one step at a time

      5. Be patient, healing takes time

      6. Be kind to yourself

      7. Take care of your needs

Hi My Beautiful Angel … Put the kettle on,

What a lovely post … I love this and totally agree with positive thoughts and affirmations

      1. I am worthy of love
      2. I love and accept myself just the way I am
      3. I trust that the universe will love and protect me
      4. I am willing to invite in the happy life I deserve
      5. I am loved and protected
      6. It is safe for me to speak my truth
      7. I am grounded and safe

I would recommend doing positive affirmations in the mirror out loud if you can, repeat each one at least 3 times … it might be difficult at first but stick with it. If you don’t yet beleive what you are saying ”fake it til you make it!”
The most important thing is to turn those negative thoughts into positives ones xx

What a lovely post! I definitely felt really awkward when I started doing affirmations but I dont anymore. I like to whisper them to myself when I’m out walking.
      My favourites are;
      1. I am strong.
      2. I am kind.
      3. I am loving and I am loved.
      4. I am part of nature, and nature is part of me.
      5. I am compassionate.
      6. I am safe.
      7. I deserve the best.
Over and over like a mantra, I like to time it with my steps. Definitely a case of fake it til you make it like @Darcy said, even if you dont believe it, repeating such nice things is really calming. It’s a lovely grounding exercise.x

      1, I am worthy
      2, I am enough
3, I have made mistakes and that’s OK
      4, I am kind
      5, I am strong
      6, I am empathic
7, I deserve to be happy

Hard to say as I’m not sure I’m at a point where I fully believe what I’m saying but i will make it my goal to repeat this daily.

Such beautiful words and a prime example of how much this forum has helped me.
I read this quote every morning since I’ve found it –

“Your new life is going to cost you your old one. It’s going to cost you your comfort zone and your sense of direction. It’s going to cost you relationships and friends. It’s going to cost you being liked and understood. But it doesn’t matter. Because the people that are meant for you are going to meet you on the other side and you’re going to build a new comfort zone around the things that actually move you forward. Instead of liked, you’re going to be loved. Instead of understood, you’re going to be seen. All you’re going to lose is what was built for a person you no longer are.”
