What happens if you go with an escape/safety plan and you have a job and the children have to leave their schools.
What would your employer and the schools be told ? Does someone inform them on your behalf?

      Hi Kitkat44

It’s positive that you are thinking about your options. It really depends on the situation, if you are going into a refuge, a support worker there can help you speak to school or look for a new school in the area. They can also help you apply for benefits if you have to leave your job. It should be your choice what to tell your work, and I would hope that they would be supportive.

There is lots of information about safety planning and refuges in our Survivors Handbook which you can find here; https://www.womensaid.org.uk/the-survivors-handbook/

      I hope this helps,

      Best wishes

      Lisa
