      Morning, ladies

I’ve been trying to find somewhere to go. I’m looking every second of every day. The guilt and thought of going is huge and I’ve been really struggling with the decision.

However after yesterday he’s made my decision so easy, obviously I never wish to be hurt but this has made my decision so much easy now! I’m sure he thinks by trying to intimidate me I’ll stay like every time before, not this time.

I’m looking at a flat today which I really hope I will like. If I do, how long does it take before I can move in? I’ve never rented before and have no idea on timelines. It is unoccupied, I work full time.

If it’s unoccupied you should be able to move in within days. I would assume they will check your references and Ned your deposit. It should say in the advert when it will be available to move in but it’s usually negotiable. Would you consider a refuge in the meantime? Do you have support from women’s aid? They will have knowledge and access to the housing officer and as a victim of domestic abuse they have to help. Well done and yes he gave you permission to leave the very first time he abused you.

I have deposit ready. First months rent too.

I just NEED to go, even if they say a week until I can move in I think that’s too long.
