For complicated reasons one of my children is currently only having indirect contact. The other has handovers via school. This means there are days when we are both on the school run. To mitigate issues I take our child to school late. This was agreed by school.

Since the change ex sits in his car parked near school and waits for us. He stays until after I have left. This has happened for months now. No other parents are still around by that point so it’s clearly deliberate. He didn’t do this previously.

Can I do anything about this given its a public place? He doesn’t ‘do’ anything but it’s unnerving our child.

      Hi Cakepops,

Thank you for your post. I’m sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds like this is about control for him and a need to intimidate you- he knows this will be uncomfortable for you.

You mentioned that it is unnerving your child- it may be worth talking to the school about this as it is impacting on your child negatively. There is no good reason for him to be in his car at this time.
