Can you go into a refuge if you work and have no kids

I need to leave ASAP, nowhere to go. I only work part time just to get me away from him. The money is not enough to rent a flat. I have no children thankfully,

I’m just over thinking everything, if I leave on Monday will I actually get help and somewhere to actually stay

      Hi Spacedout,

      Thank you for posting.

There is useful information about refuges in our Survivor’s Handbook- https://www.womensaid.org.uk/the-survivors-handbook/what-is-a-refuge-and-how-can-i-stay-in-one/

Refuge availability changes everyday so it depends what is available on the day you are looking for refuge. If you would like some further support with seeking refuge then the Live Chat service (open every day) can go through any options based on your circumstances with you in confidence. You can access the chat service here: https://chat.womensaid.org.uk/

      Best wishes,

      Lisa
