I am struggling so bad right now and I need to be strong for my little boy. But I am struggling so hard my abuse was emotional until he hit me the other day and I ended it he keeps bombarding me with messages like we’re together sending his friends to tell me to give him a second change he’s got his parents telling him I’ll take him back and I just can’t deal with it I’ve just had to buy a camera so I can feel safe in my own home I just feel like cause he hit me once then it’s okay and I should forgive but I can’t and I’m so scared cause I know the worst is yet to come

Good on you for buying camera. I am thinking cctv? I’m not sure or it could be iPhone camera. Get as much good evidence as you can. Good images, recorded things of abuse and injuries.

I would suggest you contact counsellor for help as well.
It started with one hit for me and escalated. The escalated situation I still deal with years later.

Please considering domestic violence hotlines too for help.

Never allow anyone a second chance to hit you. Total red line.

If he’s done it once then it’s likely to happen again. And it’ll be “your fault” because you “made him do it”. If you’ve had the strength to get him out then please, please do not let him back.
I know the thought of having to admit to anyone that abuse has been happening is massively difficult, but is there anyone you can tell that can support you? Or maybe even record it with the police? I think they can record incidents without pressing charges, but at least then it’s there. Just thinking if you get any trouble from him.
Can you send him a “final” message to say please stop contacting you? Maybe block him on your phone afterwards?
