Very fast, within days, weeks, months, the first time you say NO.
The signs are there, challenging will be the ability to recognise them as such, not brush them under the carpet as misunderstanding. Believe his disrespectful behaviour the first time you’ve heard/seen it.
Now when someones is behaving in a way towards me that I find off, I plaster that behaviour on the forehead of that person and leave it there between me and that person as protection for myself. It creates distance and protection which is a good thing.
Trust your instinct and listen to it the first time, it’s usually right.
