Hi can anyone advise me on where to go to get information on effective solicitors for divorce and financial abuse? Like could the local women’s aid advise me? I am new to my area and haven’t got any local knowledge.

I found my divorce lawyer through the Law Society website. Type ‘law society find a solicitor’ into Google. This is only for England and Wales though. For divorce you don’t necessarily need to have a lawyer from a firm local to where you live; most communication is done via letter or email rather than personal visits to their offices.
