My husband had been emotionally abusing me for years, we are no longer together but have children together. Recently, I had to call the police out after an incident where I felt very threatened by my ex and his family, the policeman said I should get an injunction out on him and gave me a leaflet.
The injunction is so I know me and the children are safe from intimidation etc. (detail removed by Moderator) I’m worried if it will be turned back around on me. He thinks he has done nothing wrong and he’s even said I’m the one that’s been abusive. Whatever I say he’s done he will deny it and say I’ve done worse. And because the abuse was emotional I don’t really have any proper proof. (detail removed by Moderator) do you think they will believe him over me?

      Thanks

Worriedandhelpless alot of men turn their behaviour around onto their exes, it’s common for them to do this. I would say aslong as you can be specific as to what he’s been doing and give your reasons /proof then there’s no reason why you won’t get the injunction. You just want to do the right thing by your children and yourself. Good on you for going ahead with it xx
