I have tried every which way to communicate my needs, what I want, what I don’t want. Where my head is at, what they could do to help (in more subtle and it’s not them it’s about me intelligent ways) I’ve read around, listened to pods, spoken to others… all trying to achieve the same goal. How can I stop what’s happening to me and receive beetle care from the one who says they love me. I didn’t want to be in an unhealthy relationship. (again) I fully showed up, kept my cool and worked so hard on it I worked myself to the bone.
Now I’ve been broken up with because I’m a nervous wreck and my light went out to them. They had minimised me so badly I wasn’t seen anymore. Gutted.

I think I’ve been gaslit more than I even realised and I had some inkling.
Things said such as “you are the least (removed by moderator) person I ever met”
“As much support as a lead weight”
“You do not try to understand me”
      “You’re negativity brings me down”
      “It’s all in your head”
      “Can’t you take a joke”
“That’s just the narrative you’re telling yourself”
      to name but a few… 🤢

      Hi Genericusername

I am sorry to say you can’t. They are continually showing you who they are, they are showing you that they don’t care enough to consider all the lengths you are going to in order to make it work. It doesn’t sound like its going to does it?

You describe something that really isn’t working for you, and that you are with someone who is emotionally abusive to you, this is not love, and its why you feel this way.

I’m sorry that you find yourself in such a horrible place and I hope you will keep posting as you work through this now thatyou are starting to see whats going on.

      warmest wishes

      ts
