Once you leave your abusive relationship, does the fear ever leave? My ex keeps threating me with going to the police for harassment, despite him making the constant contact.
I’m still scared despite being apart for so long.

Slowly but surely you start to realise the power they’ve conditioned you to believe they hold isn’t true.

People who commit awful violent crimes, stalking, harrassment aren’t getting prosecuted so take comfort in that even if he reported you to the police, he would need evidence to support what he’s saying and if the police came to visit you you could then explain what you’ve been through.

do you have any support? A service that’s supporting you that could be there? You could actually call 101 and log his threats yourself so that if he ever follows through you’ve already got there first.

slowly but surely you realise their power isn’t real. I realised it in lots of small ways when I left and the consequences he’d led me to believe didn’t happen..

can you block? Or remove him at all? I know it’s difficult with children, if you have children, you could get a third party for a while so you can get your head on straight. It can be useful.

      Sending strength
