On waitlist that will surely be past being thrown out of house or me walking out due to stress. Too stressed due to domestic violence issues. My life was fine now not due to domestic violence issues and many moves. I feel totally unsafe. I am on three waitlists. Little food. Being give meagre food. Spent money on moves to various houses away from abuser. I have no money to move and it appears nothing to move into anyway.

I made call after call getting no where when last time I made one call.Service has changed. Today was first day I have asked to moved out of home rather than stress out when he will get here. I came up against many waitlist or nothing available. I’m very sick and stressed now wondering what this world has come to now.

      Hi StrongLife,

It’s so difficult to be feeling unsafe and wanting to move but having to wait for somewhere to be available. Unfortunately, there are many more women needing safe accommodation than there are refuge spaces. It’s a positive thing though that you’re taking steps to get safe and are on these waiting lists. If you haven’t already, you could contact your local domestic abuse service to get some support accessing safe accommodation. The Support Workers on our Live Chat service can also help you with finding refuges that have spaces and providing you with their contact details. Hopefully the waiting lists are short or you’re able to find another suitable option very soon.

      Take care and keep posting,
      Lisa

I’m moving myself again to another house. It’s not good here anymore and I know it. More money moving. The lists too long –

I’m not waiting around and looking for house/job now. I’m not waiting around til worse comes to worse and I walk down my driveway to see him there. That’s what local services seem to think – I think another way. I’ve been here a while.
