Parking tickets?

  Has your abuser rung up parking tickets in a vehicle registered in your name? If so, what did you do to get this fixed? The council say these are my fines as I am the registered keeper – they’re really not interested in what they see as ‘my excuse not to pay’, all they say is the fines need paying and the longer I don’t the more it will cost – so I have been paying them, for years now in fact – so on it goes. I’m literally left to pay the fines for hundreds of parking tickets and this is not an exageration. I don’t even drive. How did you get this resolved?

  There’s a great charity called Surviving Economic Abuse. They have a website and contact details and I’d start there for help. You might want to talk to citizens advice about your rights.
