There have been some really insightful posts about Abuse on the forum. I thought it might be useful to put them in one place for women who are new to the forum and are asking? Is It Abuse? What is Abuse? And all the questions in between.
A word of caution….be kind to yourself. It can feel overwhelming at first, it is overwhelming, but getting educated about it, and knowing and understanding what is going on is a massive first step to breathing again. xx

Shannon Thomas “Healing from Hidden Abuse” Very insightful for emotional and psychological abuse (on audible)
Jess Hill “See What you Made me Do” (on Audible) – book out in August 2020 – Indepth and thorough analysis from an Australian perspective, seen through the prism of physical abuse but applicable to all types. Useful typologies.
Lundy Bancroft “When Dad Hurts Mom” The effects of abuse on children. Explains it all. Amazing
