Process of refuge

So me and my 2 kids are now safely in refuge.
Does anyone know how it works in refuge when the council manage to house you? Do you get a choice or do you just get told where the place is? Also do they move you into another temporary housing or put you straight into permanent housing? Only thinking of my little ones school, I’ll have to keep moving her schools and she’s really very very sensitive to change, she doesn’t deal with change we’ll mentally bless her. Anyone on here had experience with being moved on from refuge and know what the process is? Tia
