I was speaking with someone in a support group the other day about anxiety. It’s difficult but good sometimes to reflect on how we’re feeling.

During that conversation I realised that the start of my latest bout of mental unwellness seems to coincide with starting legal proceedings regarding a matter of economic abuse.

Since then I’ve had to give up my job and try to delegate more caring tasks to other people. It’s so difficult when I’m feeling ill and upset myself to help other people. I wasn’t coping at work and didn’t feel well enough to continue.

      Hello Swanlake,

Thank you for sharing this. I imagine it was deflating to recognise the trigger for your increased anxiety lately – it makes a lot of sense that this could create a huge amount of stress and apprehension for you. Legal proceedings can often be really difficult.

It’s positive to hear that you are trying to take care of yourself through this, it’s important to listen to your body and prioritise your wellbeing wherever you can.

      Take care and keep posting,
      Lisa
