I met with my husband as he wanted me to hear him out, and he wanted me to share with him how I was feeling and the reasons why I left.

Of course he feels rejected, and he has always felt like the world is against him. (detail removed by moderator) plus he refused to acknowledge the impact his two affairs had on me, and he seems to have completely forgotten that he punched me in the stomach (detail removed by moderator) I never saw the gaslighting when we were together but it is so clear to me now!

I just want to scream and shout, and I needed to tell someone. Thanks for reading!

      Hi CuddlyCandy,

I had this also but I ignored his last attempt to meet to ‘say goodbye’ as I came to realise the cycles of his behaviour and I used to fall for his pity but I can safely say that I see the big picture now after years. Isn’t it amazing when that penny drops? I even did the Freedom Programme in denial a bit as I thought ‘yep but he only behaves like that when he drinks’, even though one section says they will blame it on alcohol! It was never the drink, the cycles prove it – it becomes so transparent!

Anyway, glad you are seeing things clearly! xx
