      Hello, everyone

I am not sure if I can leave some recommendations in the forum, but if I can then there are a few books you may like to read for not just understanding some of your own patterns more, but also have some validation in others’ stories as well.

      For those seeking similar stories/validation:
      – Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover (on abuse in family relationships)
      – It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover (on domestic abuse)
      – Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen (on domestic abuse)
      – Normal People by Sally Rooney (on abuse in family relationships)

For those seeking to understand their patterns/psychology:
      – Women Who Love Too Much by Robin Norwood
      – Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes
      – Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving by Pete Walker
      – Codependent No More by Melody Beattie
      – Running on Empty: Overcome Your Childhood Emotional Neglect by Jonice Webb
      – You’re Not Crazy – You’re Codependent by Jeanette Menter
      – The Betrayal Bond: Breaking Free of Exploitive Relationships by Patrick Carnes

Hope this helps. Take care everyone!

      Hi Ariadne ❤️

Thank you for sharing these as there are a few listed I haven’t heard of so I shall try and get hold of those (definitely the codependant no more book).

      Lots of love ❤️
