I feel very torn after another conversation with the police today, telling me to take photos for evidence I informed them that my social worker told me not too. so fed up of this, why can’t people just tell the truth. is it really that hard xxxx

Hi there, I’d don’t know your story but I don’t see any harm in taking photos. That way any evidence is there, taking photos doesn’t mean you have to do something about it. It’s being prepared for any eventualities, that’s all. Do you keep a journal too? If so you could write in. the journal about the photos, that way there’s a reason there or taking them. I’m not sure if it’s about people telling the truth, it’s about what is right and best for us.

Hi there Beautifullybroken, I am sorry to see that you have been given conflicting information, I understand how frustrating this must be.

Are you engaged with a local domestic abuse service? It could be useful for a specialist domestic abuse worker to advocate on your behalf. If you aren’t currently working with a local service you can find their details here

      Best wishes

There is a phone app called bright sky. Its a pp for domestic violence and in it is a journal place to store such images. U can discise the app as a weather app too. Worth a try.
