Losingbattle
ParticipantHes been back several weeks now and after promises of things being better and cutting down his drinking things have pretty much gone back to normal. If I go anywhere I get accused of seeing another man, yet he says its a joke, gets offended when I dont like it. I took the kids for a meal. He made a comment about me spending his money while hes at work. This upset me, and again he got offended cos I was upset by it. Beer cans left all over. I tidy up and he just leaves mess saying it’s my job to clean up cos he works. I recently had to hide my daughter’s new uniform because every Time I spend money on my kids to a previous relationship he says, (detail removed by moderator). I hate this life and I’m still finding my inner strength to get him to leave once and for all. I am literally living with an enemy. I can’t say owt cos he makes it out to be me. He had a drink problem before I met him but his mum has a hate for me now and blames me for him needing to drink. Even though his ex said the same things I am and even warned me. I describe him as a n********t but I’m sure hes much more. Need out asap

ParticipantLosingbattle – hope your alright xx
They always promise things will get better but believe me they never do, a leopard never changes his spots.
I understand about your daughters uniform. I was in a relationship with someone who begrudged my daughters having anything even though I always spent my own money on them. I think perhaps they are jealous of our children.
I know what you mean about the tidying up aswell, they can go to work and when they get home don’t want to have to lift a finger but our work in the house and with the kids never ends never mind doing everything for them aswell.
Abusers always blame the other person and even make you doubt yourself. Stay strong Xx

ParticipantHes started checking my phone again too. He hasn’t admitted it but he let slip about a conversation I had with someone which was in my messages. When I questioned him he wasn’t happy, saying I should believe him when he says he hasn’t been on my phone. Obviously it got twisted and all blame aimed at me because I’d told the person in the messages that I was disappointed in my husband’s behaviour. I have no privacy
