OMG after all of the gas-lighting around how he’s going to take the children off of me, my husband can’t handle a single morning where one child has been ill and has (detail removed by moderator) and he’s not willing to make his child a priority.

Our child was complaining about (detail removed by moderator). It took hours in order for my husband to stop (detail removed by moderator) to go out and get some (detail removed by moderator). I was ready to go out on my own and do it because many hours had passed, but I also knew that would become the next argument… where I’m going to go do the work because my husband can’t be bothered to make his child’s pain a priority.

Then, while my husband was out, he decides that he wants to get himself (detail removed by moderator). Meanwhile his son is sobbing in pain in my arms at home. Just unbelievable!

I asked about getting our child a GP appointment, and my husband (dad) is aggravated. He says he already has to take our other child on another appointment. As if. And then he’s grumbling about “(detail removed by moderator)”.

These are not the actions of a dad who puts his children first. I’m furious about it, but I am logging it too.

      Dear browneyedmum,

Your husband sounds very uncaring and like he can’t handle his responsibilities which must be really difficult for you. He sounds dishonest too, which can make you feel crazy. Abusive people always put themselves first sadly. My ex used to be decently caring when I was ill but then he would hold it over my head and use it against me so I felt guilty. Sometimes he would take a long time to get me things I needed but could not get myself so he had a lot of power over me.

      Big hugs x
