(detail removed by moderator) I travelled to and from a long distance to attend a work event that my husband already knew about a month prior. It seems like he has been punishing me since, refusing to talk to me.

Then one of our children has been ill. (detail removed by moderator)

My husband refuses to talk to me in real time. He prefers having that child phone me instead to act like the messenger or the go-between. I find that really gross that he’s putting so much on that child.

I did confront my husband over the phone, when once again, the child says that they are phoning, but I know they were put up to it by their dad. He maintains that he has not been avoiding me, but I have been logging everything and actions speak louder than words.

I am just so bothered that when it comes to the health of our child, I’m being blocked. (detail removed by moderator) No, I’m not. Stop making it about you and instead, let’s look after our child!

      Its just driving me bonkers.

Amen! But sadly he’ll never put anyone first except himself, even their kids come second. Everyone is here to feed their ego, not the other way around. I know it’s hard but the best advice is to not react to him, he’ll be enjoying you getting angry & he’ll just make out you’re crazy and he’s the victim somehow. If your child is ill then do what you need to to safeguard them, you’re the safe parent. Your husband will throw a tantrum (like he has by ignoring you for going away) regardless, so do what’s right for you & your child if it’s safe to do so xx
