Hi all, I’ve been away from him for quite some time now but he’s still trying to contact me via email and text despite a number of letters from solicitors asking him to stop and that all communication should go through them, unless it’s an emergency regarding our child. Can I get a non molestation order to stop this?
I would speak to your solicitor again but I would say yes. You’ve told him many times not to contact you yet he continues unwanted contact. There are new stalking laws but before you go down the legal route which may cost money and more animosity can you change email address and mobile number and tell him to contact you through a third party. Maybe a member of your family?
@falling skys if i send my teenager love texts but she never replies is that abuse? her father has forbidden contact with me. her other sibs says she secretly loves me 🙁
Thanks for the replies falling sky and kip. I keep putting off going to the solicitors and burying my head a bit hoping it will stop. Anyway, I’m going to see solicitors next week to try and put a non molestation order in place.
Solicitor said it would be unlikely that I would get one as the messages are not threatening. (Where’s the harm?). It would also cost thousands. So frustrated cause it is causing me harm/distress.
