Hi all I’m new to the forum.. basically in 2014 I was Subject to domestic violence at home. I was beaten up in front of our 3 children and he come at me with a knife . I managed to escape to a neighbours house who called the police. They arrived and arrested him. In July he went to court and was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison which he served 8 weeks.
Whilst he was inside I was bombarded with letters nearly everyday. I told him it was over. It was a horrendous relationship and to be honest I was glad to be free.
However when he got released he came to me and that’s where he’s stayed ever since….
Now I never said we’d get back together,he just pushed his worming way back into my home and into my head!! I’ve told him there’s no future but he just won’t listen. Now I want him gone I actually fear telling him incase he goes off on one at me. I hate myself for going back on my word. I thought I was stronger that this..
He vows he’s changed but the damage is already done mentally and I think I may even have depression. I don’t know where to start..
I just know it’s all my doing his back under my roof. (removed by moderator) we’d been together when the incident happened.
      Thanks for reading..

You need to speak to the police. They can remove him and then you get a non molestation and occupational order both for a year. Be merciless, he did not care when he hurt you. Think of yourself and the kids, not of him. x*x

Ayanna so right, you have to do it within ten days of attack. I didn’t and know I’m stuck in the house with him. He’s told me he won’t hit me as I will get him out. And it’s been along time without him physically hurting me.

Hi thereshope, welcome to the forum and well done for being brave enough to post for the first time. It sounds like you have suffered an awful lot with your partner and that he is a very dangerous person.

I agree with Ayanna, don’t tell him yourself that you want him out, abusers are often the most dangerous when the woman is leaving because they can sense that they are losing control. Get the police to remove him from the property and then make steps to get an order in place to prevent him from coming near you or the property. This man has demonstrated before what he is capable of, and you have said yourself that he knows how to weasel his way back into your life so you can remove all that by just calling the police and not dealing with him directly. Don’t worry about the fact that you let him come back after prison, these abusers know exactly how to sneak back into your life. It is not your fault so don’t have regrets. Just look forward and make the important steps now to getting yourself free from him again.

Good to have you with us on the forum.

      Best wishes

      Lisa

Make him homeless. He does not care about you. Some leftie will take pity on him and give him a home, don’t worry.
