Hi all. I need a little help/advice. I’ve been out a number of years (thank God) and still here to tell the tale 🙂

I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD and anxiety, and storm Darragh has severely tested me – it’s blown down my gates, so the rear of my house is now exposed. I’m feeling very unsafe/vulnerable/frightened and keep having anxiety attacks. I can’t seem to get anyone to come and make repairs (I’m guessing that tradespeople are all slammed??!)

I have a restraining order, but although I can’t prove it, I know the ex has been “checking” on me 😔

My brother in law has made some temporary repairs, but it’s not totally secure.

I haven’t felt this vulnerable in a good while – feel like I’m living on a knife’s edge. Has anyone got any suggestions or advice please?🙏

How awful for you.  I have never been in this situation but my only suggestion (and what I would do) would be maybe to put a post out on facebook? Are you on any Mums Network pages or anything similar? If you are, I would put a help post out for someone to come and help fix your fences.  I’ve done this with other things and have had lots of responses and quite often it works out cheaper because people want to help. I’ve even had free offers but obviously given some money anyway as a thank you.

If you can, could you also get some cheap cameras for the front and rear of your house?  This could provide any proof if your ex is snooping around?

I hope you get this sorted so that you can feel safe again.
