I just finished reading gaslighting and n**********c abuse recovery by Don Barlow.
It was free on amazon prime with a 30 day free trial.

      I found it really helpful.
The author suffered abuse from his mother.

It suggests how you can respond to gaslighting without getting sucked in.

It also suggested how to respond when people ask you about your breakup.

It said to say- the situation became a threat to my safety and leave it at that.
      No more explanation than that.
I’m going to take that on board.

Interesting quote from the book. I don’t mention it normally. It’s hard and triggering to do. People seem not to understand domestic violence in it’s entirety. Little information is good.
