Caterpillar and butterfly

Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over and she was ready to die, she found her wings and began to fly.

Today I had my first ever tattoo a butterfly with my childrens intitals inside her wings.
I can look at it every day and remind myself I can do this. 🥰

Good for you! Of course he hates it, but just think, he won’t get to see your next one, or be able to say horrible things about it, or about you, once you are free.

I wish @pigeonperson but I fear I will never leave its been too long im too old and too stuck.
This I fear is my life forever.
I just need to find a way to get through it as best as I can. X*x

It’s never too late, you are never too old to start afresh, free from abuse. Keep hoping for freedom, keep reaching out for support. I used to hope my ex would pass away. I thought that was the only way I would ever be free. That was no way to live. Do you have any support from your local domestic violence team? Being older doesn’t give him the right to keep you trapped in an abusive situation.

I thought I would never find love again, but I did… thought I was too old for that. And it wasn’t true. Today I have a partner who is a truly lovely human being. I never in a million years thought that would happen to me.
