Hi ladies ( do it you got nothing to lose)
I put a claim in for compensation through cica few yrs old it was a long process. But worth it. It was a no win no fee through a solicitor. I finally got my award through today.. Its worth doing! No amount of money will heal my ptsd but it will help me in my healing

Fantastic news!! I put in a claim quite recently with help from Victim Support. I had to respond to a letter from them asking why it had taken more than half a lifetime to report the crime. I expect I will get a similar letter for the other claim regarding my ex. Who knows. I may just have been too late in both cases so I’d rather forget about it.

I didn’t report for decades as I was far too embarrassed and ashamed. I also didn’t think I would be believed. I told only a few close friends. Nobody else. It was horrible. I don’t know what CICA will do, but at least I filled in the form. It is more for closure.
