Has anyone successfully claimed criminal Injuries compensation?

What is involved?
How difficult is it?
Was it worth it?

I would be claiming for both physical and mental damage.

I’d get a solicitor to do it. Do you qualify for legal aid? Would you consider a no win no fee solicitor. You can do it yourself but it means going over all the abuse in statements by yourself which is re traumatising. You can claim for loss of earnings too. It’s definitely worth applying. There is a time limit for applying so make sure you don’t leave it too late.

Thanks KIP, just inside limit. Have started looking through statements etc…hence the meltdown. Maybe no win no fee. Not sure I would get legal aid. I think worth it when I think what I lost…which includes income.
