Tonight I had an arrangement with a friend who had offered to do me a favour to help me out. I was at the arranged place waiting and she didn’t show up. I felt annoyed as I was waiting outside in the cold for some time. I sent her a message asking if she were coming. The response I got was completely in keeping with the situation. She apologized profusely, told me that she forgot and apologized twice more, then she offered to go out of her way to put it right. This will strengthen our friendship which is reciprocal as I have really helped her out with some things. It made me realize the difference in people. My ex frequently & casually let me down without a second thought. I were not allowed to express anything negative at these times despite him really upsetting me. If I had, he would have given me the silent treatment, terrorized me mentally or dumped me. It made me realize what type of sick person I really had in him. Good riddance.

It was really refreshing to deal with a normal person, it made him look all the more twisted.

It’s lovely when you meet people or realise that you know people already who have a normal understanding of respect for others.💛
