I am struggling to take the last step of leaving….mentally I am done with the relationship and I’m ready to be free and am starting to accept the fact I’m going to be alone – but I’m ok with that. I just don’t know why I can’t take the last step…is there any advice out there that may be able to help? I am aware that people leave at their own speed and time but I really don’t want to be waiting any longer I just need to take the risk but can’t argh!!

Hey you are as you say getting there. These are massive steps and take such effort. The next one is scary and that’s ok- it is. You have worked so hard to get to this point but unless you do this you will remain as you are. It’s a journey but unless you take that step nothing will change. There is so much life beyond an abusive relationship – I wish you well leave safely x
