Hi having a bad day. My husband wanted money from me (timeframe removed by Moderator) and I only had £(number removed by Moderator) on me and he wanted £(number removed by Moderator). He started screaming at me and throwing and hitting things. I sat downstairs in the dark so not to draw attention to myself but he kept coming down to say nasty things or to slam the door open to scare me. I actually felt scared in my own house. Then he wanted to have sex with me and I didn’t so he kept kicking me and I’ve woken up with bruises..

It’s awful being on the receiving end of that behaviour. I remember being screamed at & hole punched in the wall and awful words being screamed at me. It’s very traumatic and will take a while to come back to normal. It’s good you posted. We can’t change them we can just reach out for support on here. Post as much as you need to. It’s great you had the courage to say no to the sex. You’d be feeling so violated if you’d had sex just to keep the peace but very hard not to when they use anger to control. I hope you can get some space from him just to recuperate from his physical & emotional abuse.
