      Hello everyone 👋

I am new here , I left an abusive relationship (timeframe removed by Moderator) months ago it was mental/emotional & physical (it’s taken me so long to admit the physical, anyone else?)

He was also tracking me through my phone and put a tracker in my car without me knowing , I eventually it and the day i escaped I threw it in the sea .

When I left he stalked me and sent abusive and threatening messages , I had my location off for ages until i had advice to turn it back on for emergency when I turned it back on he managed to track me through my phone even though I thought I had deleted anything he may be able to track me through until a friend helped and we managed to sort it .

I have been struggling with panic attacks nightmares and flashbacks, anyone else ?  I had a mental health assessment and was told they think I have c-ptsd

Anyone got anything that works to help with nightmares and flashbacks?I’m so tied 😴, I’ve been prescribed propranolol to help with the panic attacks .

      Thankyou

      Hi theatrequeen

      Well done on getting out!

How did you find the tracker I wouldn’t know where to start

      re. PTSD

I’ve found Yoga and meditation extremely helpful. The meditation came later though. Sitting in silence can be very loud.

Yoga did some serious magic for me. Took a while. Daily practise but I think what happened is it took my nervous system back down to a more normal level. They say trauma is stored in the body and my experience is that working with the body can help it.

I literally lost phobias without even realising it. Im just not afraid of those things any more.

It wasn’t a quick fix mind you, and I have had therapy over the years too but yeah. I’ve really learned to calm myself and to manage much better. I wish I’d started it sooner

Don’t need to go full on hour session at first especially if you find a public class intimidating- I did. I found beginners vids on YouTube and used those

Thankyou so much for your reply ,

It was coincidence that I found the tracker , my bag fell over and things fell out and the tracker was (location removed by Moderator).

      Thankyou for your advice.
