      Hey I’m new here

I’m (age removed by Moderator) with a (age removed by Moderator) old and her dad has been abusive for a long time however we don’t live together and spend large amounts of time in no contact.

it happened (timeframe removed by Moderator), he threatened me and then disappeared for (timeframe removed by Moderator). He reached out and I sent one response and didn’t reply to any further phone calls or messages until (day removed by Moderator). I thought let him have one chance at contact with our child. It ended up in him degrading me and telling me how bad I was but when I reflected it back and gave him his reasons and told him he was controlling and abusive he told me he wasn’t and warned me not to put him down.

so after this I went straight back into no contact and I will firmly be staying and he’ll have no contact with me or our child.

i am absolutely petrified of getting children’s services involved because I want to keep my baby home.

so im here to support and also be supported and hold myself accountable and strong in the next steps of our journey.

Well. He sounds like a peach.

I gave up trying to make him understand. its like talking to a brick wall. Just a complete waste of time. They’re always willing to keep on escalating.

What are the next steps for you?

Well done on your bravery. Its really not easy

      Hi and welcome x

Hi Bluerainbow, nice to have you on the forum. How are you finding life post separation?
ps I don’t think there would be any reason at all for childrens services to get involved, it sounds like you have a good and stable life with your child. Are you worried that he will try and use threats about this to stress and upset you?
