Dear Mellow,
This page on the Shelter website explains what is asked in a Homeless Assessment.
It is important to explain as much as you feel able to about the domestic abuse you are experiencing. If a person cannot stay in their home because of the risk of domestic abuse then they can be classed as unintentionally homeless and in higher priority need for housing.
This is explained in more detail in the following guide by Shelter:
Homelessness due to Domestic Violence and Abuse
If you want to discuss this further you could contact Shelter on 0808 800 4444
Kind Regards,
Lisa
