Hello. Been on this forum for a while. Already on housing bidding list, in contact with Refuge, dv agencies, social workers etc. But. It does not really helping much to get out faster.  Unfortunately can’t go to hotel or Refuge because of kids ages etc. But lately HE has been drinking in daytime, while I’m trying to be out and about (because I’m terrified to be home alone with him), and now he is starting his verbal abuse when me and kids are all home. I was wondering if non molestation order would shut him up,, because of all the verbal abuse I’m already anxious,  have ptsd and on antidepressants…. just wondering how can I protect myself while still forced to live under one roof (ou and by the way he thinks everything is fine, because obviously why would a women ever wanna leave a verbally abuse man….)

      Hi wintersnow,

If you wanted to look into getting an injunction, like a Non-Molestation Order or an Occupation Order, you could reach out to DV Assist. They’re a specialist injunctions service and would be able to answer any questions you have. It may also be that if you report the abuse to the police, he could be arrested and bail conditions put in place that mean he has to stay away from the home.

I’m going to send you a PM with some information regarding the barriers to accessing refuge that you’ve mentioned.

      Take care and keep posting,
      Lisa
