ParticipantMore than year on, I thought my life would look very different. But instead I am still suffering under my abusive Ex.We have two children together and moving on is literally impossible. He has been making my life hell over the last year and the decade before that when I was still with him.Yesterday he turnt up at (removed by moderator) and verbally abused me (removed by moderator). It was so stressful and humiliating and I have been dreading this for months. He literally just turnt up (removed by moderator) and turnt my life upside down again.Fight or flight kicked in and I just walked off with my children with him following us and shouting abuse at me, calling me terrible names.Everyone was looking and there were so many kids.I got in the car and called (removed by moderator) but she wasn’t of much help as usual. When I got home, I reported him to the police online and arranged an appointment for today to give an interview.I couldn’t suffer it anymore and just let him get away with it.But now I have to deal with all the stress of reporting him again. And his family will stop helping me with childcare as they did before when I reported him.But his behaviour is unacceptable and I’m allowing it by not doing anything.I need to get a non molestation order but it is all too much

Main ModeratorHi Neueranfang,
I’m sorry you are experiencing such on-going abuse from your ex-partner.
Do speak to your local domestic abuse service for emotional and practical help around this. They should be able to help you with the process of obtaining an injunction.
Also, you can speak with Domestic Violence Assist (a specialist injunctions service) on 0800 195 8699 (24/7), http://www.dvassist.org.uk/. This is a specialist service for Non-Molestation Orders and legal advice. They provide a free, fast emergency service to survivors of domestic violence regardless of their financial circumstances, race, gender or sexual orientation.
Their service allows anyone to apply for an injunction within 24 hours of first contact (in most circumstances). Please contact them if you have any queries or doubts about whether you can apply for an injunction as they are happy to offer free advice and support where possible.
Additionally, if you are in need of free legal advice, you could contact Rights of Women. They are a voluntary organisation that offer free confidential legal advice over the phone. Their Criminal Law line offers advice on sexual offences; DV, harassment & stalking; reporting to police & criminal justice system. They are available on 0207 251 8887 (Tues 2-4pm & 7-9pm, Thurs 2-4pm, Fri 10am-12pm) http://www.rightsofwomen.org.uk .
I hope this is useful to you.
All the best,Lisa
