Why oh why did I go from one relationship to the next I get stuck in them and don’t know how to get out! Why am I scared just to say it’s over can you leave ? Why am I so
Unhinged that I allow myself to become a doormat. Why does bf think it’s ok to have moved in but not pay a penny not contribute towards the cost of food etc.

Why when I tell him that I’m not happy about us does he throw a massive strop stomp around the house and not talk to me?

      Hi I.dont.know.,

Thank you for posting, I hope it has helped to offload here to others who understand. You haven’t done anything to cause the abuse in the relationships. Try to be kind to yourself and lean on the support available to make a plan- it it a lot to deal with by yourself. You could chat to a Women’s Aid worker in confidence via our Live Chat service if you would like to. It is open every day. They won’t tell you what to do, but can discuss your situation and signpost you to other support that’s relevant for you. You can access the chat service here: https://chat.womensaid.org.uk/

      Best wishes,

      Lisa

Because you’re a caring person who wants to help others and make them happy. None of those are bad qualities!! What’s missing for a lot of us are boundaries, just like you I let my abuser move in on his terms which meant not contributing etc and I look back now and see it was madness, but we’re not the bad guys abusing others, they are. We’re just too dumb nice. I don’t have the magic answer, a lot wiser ladies on here can help you there, but don’t beat yourself up for being a loving person, just focus that love on you too x x
