I was so sad to hear this and glad that at least its been spotted and raised as as issue. There are older men applying for 20-30 yr old females to stay with them, like this is some sort of partner matching opportunity!
I hope that the lack of haste on our part in the uk taking in refugees is guaranteeing that abusers and traffickers are not getting their hands on vulneralbe women and their families.
There was one guy who only had a mattress on the floor to share! and another when visited discovered that the accommodation wouldn’t have even been suitable for adopting an animal let alone rehousing women and children!
There should be penalties to applying for known offenders in these circumstances. A major deterrent is needed.
