A few weeks on since my happy dance at getting out. Thanks again ladies for your thoughts and messages.
Life’s so different now. My family (including people I’ve not seen for ages) have been absolutely incredible and between us all have completely renovated my home within a matter of a few weeks. Almost ready for a for sale board.
I’m currently gripped by a crushing need to be next to him which is odd!. However I have some amazing people around me who list all the bad things for me as a reminder. I’m also having flashbacks in the night or sometimes when I’m doing normal housework. My brain replays the shouting or aggression and memories in each room.
However, generally all good and enjoying getting back to me which is just brilliant.
      xx

      Hello Happybelle,

Congratulations on all these positive steps you are making in moving forward at this time, it’s so great that you have a strong support network around you and are feeling that sense of love and safety from them.

I can hear how mixed your feelings are at the moment – I imagine it’s confusing to be pulled back and forward between the past and future, but it’s very normal to experience a sense of grief for the loss of the relationship, even if ending it was the right thing to do.

      Take care and keep posting,
      Lisa
