I am still getting nightmares of my ex husband
Trying to get close to me but then is horrible to me, trying to suffocate me. I’m divorced and (detail removed by moderator) out of the marriage. It’s like he is haunting me in my dreams, I have not had any contact for (detail removed by moderator)

It sounds very much like trauma. Have you ever had counselling? Have a look at The Body Keeps The Score by Bessel Van Der Kolk. Only with trauma counselling did my nightmares settle down. Now they’re infrequent and manageable. Sadly we move on from our abusers but take the trauma with us. The good news is there is help available and you won’t have to cope with this on your own. Welcome 💕
