I have been advised this may be a good way to get my husband to leave.

However I don’t qualify for legal aid and my husband controls all the finances.

A solicitor has just advised that for non-molestation/occupation orders I tend to advise clients that fees can range from £1,000 to £3,500 plus VAT depending on the work involved. And I must put £750 on account.

It seems a lot! Way too much to progress with it. So what is the alternative – just wait to get hurt?

Surely I should not have to pay to remove someone that has been identified as highly likely to cause myself and my children harm?

      Can anyone advise?

National centre for domestic violence helped me. They took a phone statement. took about 45 minutes, draftedout the witness statement needed for the orders, emailed it to mr with exact instructions of what to do. I could amend it then emailed it to relevant court. It was granted v quickly as interim. I have a hearing over the phone (detail removed by moderator) . It was all free.

Hi I don’t know about occupation order as we had to flit but NCDV got me an emergency non mol without him there (detail removed by moderator) the order stands for a year. You can call or text them just make sure it’s safe. I think You need to do it fairly Soon after a recent incident tho if it is without him knowing. Was v scary but one of the best things I did

      Wonderful news!!!!

      Just on the site now.

Sad isn’t it when your world is reduced to feeling happy that their are organisations that can stop you getting hurt and abused.

      Onwards!
