Women’s Aid is deeply concerned by the racist, Islamophobic riots and violence we saw in cities across England in August this year. We have spoken out about the impact this is having on victims and survivors of domestic abuse and the specialist services that support Black and minoritised survivors. We are now looking to solidify our understanding of the impact on services and survivors through research including a survey of survivors of domestic abuse. We will use the findings to amplify your voice and refine our response.

Please can you share as much or as little as you feel able in our survey using this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FSR9956

The survey is open until the morning of Monday 23rd September, when we will start to analyse responses.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

      Best wishes

      Lisa

I have heard so much racism in my local area from UK born people,  it’s scary and it has made me feel like hiding, as I am the daughter of an immigrant.  I didn’t bother to call the police as the racists know where I live, I don’t want more racist stalkers, I’ve got one living next door but I refuse to move because of racist people.  I just say hello to tur immigrants who are polite and friendly towards me 🙁

        Hi Funduro,

Thank you so much for sharing these painful experiences with us. You deserve to feel comfortable in your community and not be subjected to this poisonous racism.

If you feel able and would like to also share your experiences as part of the survey, you can do so by clicking on this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FSR9956

        Best wishes,
        Lisa
