Safe child contact

I put off leaving for years as I was scared of having to leave my kids with him. I’m getting more and more anxious that should he choose to challenge the supervised by family visits that he will be granted unsupervised visits. He has numerous recent (detail removed by Moderator) suicide attempts on revord as well as other issues.
I’ve been scaring myself silly reading about men who kill their kids .
I need to stop googling as it’s doing me no favours

Yes pls stop googling, the reports are real but they only show the extreme cases, they do not really report all the women who made it out safely with kids. Those women are here. In this forum.
Pls call women’aid and explain your situation, they can tell you how to protect yourself and your children from unsupervised visits. Involve a domestic abuse professional in your legal dispute, that is key so the court see that you want to protect your children from harm.

Also if he already has a records of suicide attempts that is really positive for you, to get full custody. They wouldn’t want to leave your children with a unstable dangerous person.

I agree with hopelifejoy, if he’s had his suicide attempts reported/on record, he will be seen as unfit/unsafe for unsupervised visits. As mothers we worry about our children and their surroundings and people in them all the time.
Those of us on this firum who have been through what you’re going through can give you great advice, better than any Google app.💕💕

Thank you so much for your support ladies. I’ve visited this forum since I left quite reguarly and have been given the best support.
I’m already seeing womens aid, My IDVA has been great and I’ve tried to put measures into place. I can’t believe he still controls my life in this way xx
