For at least the last (Detail removed by Moderator)yrs of my marriage i felt pressurised into sex by the ex, he would guilt me with things like, im your husband, or you never want sex. Truth is i stopped fancying him, and the abuse had started. Sometimes he would be waiting for me in our bedroom after id have a bath, and then he would proceed to place his fingers on my vagina and rub so hard it would sting for days after, he would after rubbing my vagina, proceed to have sex with me, with my vagina dry and obviously not turned on and was not consenting to it.

There are loads of reasons to report what has happened to you. If you feel ready, it is worthwhile. I found a huge weight lifted just the fact of being believed. I don’t know in my ex’s case what, if anything will happen next. He has finally moved out of his own volition on the advice of the police. This has been a long time coming.

I think you should speak to rape Crisis who have a fabulous helpline. I reported my ex for rape to the police. It was a weight off my shoulders too and if he’s done it to other women they have my corroboration as evidence. He is not my problem anymore it’s over to the police to deal with him.

I absolutely second KIP on Rape Crisis. The police are often the keyholders for much support.
