Had a call from the woman’s centre they had put me on the lost for therapy. I had the call (detail removed by moderator) for the initial assessment and I start my sessions (detail removed by moderator). Initially for (detail removed by moderator) weeks but could be extended. She said each session will last around an hour, to make sure I have a brew and get myself comfy for the telephone session.

I’m hoping this will help, I’m feeling really good at the moment but having my bad days aswell so hopefully this will help me even more

I’ve just started therapy too. Mine is via zoom, I sat somewhere comfortable and made sure I had tissues and water. As it turned out I felt tearful at the start, I don’t like crying in front of people but it was fine.
I’m sure it will really help you, good luck xx

Thanks for your reply. I too hate crying Infront of people. It’s a phone call so luckily I won’t be seen only heard. Xx

Mine is private therapy however lots of women on the forum have been able to access free counselling through their local women’s aid which is great. Some private therapists will negotiate their fees too if you’re on a low income x

Yes even as a child in school I only ever cried once which was when I was (detail removed by moderator) years old and I remember it well. I thought there was something wrong with me as other children seemed to cry freely. I thought maybe I was just tough. I’m glad I’m not the only one xx
