So this is probably going to sound crazy, but I just wanted to get it out there to see if it is me being crazy or if anyone else has had a similar experience. Here goes …

There are two jobs that I like at home ironing and washing up, being the fun loving girl i am ;-). Anyway, I had a lightbulb moment recently where I realised my other half, who will not do any housework (he doesn’t work, I work full time) but he will do the washing up. A month or so back we were having a “conversation” and he made a remark that the kitchen is my domain (only place that is where I live!) and it suddenly came to me, ‘he does the washing up because he knows I like it’. Then today he announced that he’d ‘had a thought’ and another way he could help me, was if I taught him how to iron. Now he doesn’t take care of his meds, I do, he doesn’t do any other housework. But I feel like the two things I like because I can zone out, listen to some music (be on my own), he is suddenly interested in learning how to do it. After all these years?!

Then today because I was grumpy (nope just busy with work) he said to ‘come on we’re doing so much better’. What planet is he on? I suppose it’s the classic that they can end up blaming you for ‘ruining everything’ but really??!!

I do have PMT so that might not be helping, but I just needed to get it off my chest. Thanks for listening xx

Completely makes sense to me, and it will be draining because your not getting that alone time.
AND a completely different planet x*x
