Hi again. Been in this forum for a while. So my partner was arrested AGAIN. This time i said me and kds will stay in house (been living together here for many many years but flat i on his name), anyway police and Social services said its ok me and kids stay. At least for know. (legal detail removed by Moderator).  But what happens now? (I am on housing register to get out with kids). So do i need to move before his bail conditions run out? (legal detail removed by Moderator)

I want to be free from his emotional and verbal abuse, and I want kids to grow up in house without men constantly talking s**t about women.

So can someone explain what’s gonna happen now?

Cause nor police nor Social services has called me or updated me about what going on after the initial statement/assessment.

Also I know 100% that he has been charming with them and most likely they think I’m the bad guy in situation…

      Hi wintersnow,

Thank you for sharing with us. I am sorry to hear how difficult things are for you due to your partner’s abusive behaviour. Do you feel able to contact the police and social services to request an update? Have you had recent contact with your local domestic abuse service? They should be able to support you with everything you are going through and be able to liaise with other agencies.

Just in case it helps, you could also clarify your housing rights and options with Shelter. Shelter offer free and confidential housing information, support and legal advice on all housing and homelessness issues. They have a live chat service, and a helpline available on 0808 800 44 44.

      Keep posting when you can.

      Best wishes,

      Lisa
