Hi, still here still questioning/making excuses/trying to work things out. Seem to have had a really rough few weeks, I feel like I can’t talk to anyone anymore so just put on a front that everything is ok. Financial pressures seem to have made him so much more stressed and so then minor incidents get blown out of proportion. Is this just life though, his way of dealing with stress? I feel like I don’t know what normal is. I know though that as a result I tiptoe round, trying to do everything right, not asking to go anywhere or see anyone, working all the time so he can stay in bed a bit longer (we work at home), saying the right thing, doing the right thing. This can’t be normal but I don’t know how else to behave anymore I just feel so alone.

Everhopeful, hi… Reading your post I can feel your anxiety, if you feel like you’re walking on eggshells then there’s something not right as you should never feel like you’re walking on eggshells in a relationship. Normal relationships, with non abusive partners are equal, respectful, considerate etc… have you read Living with The Dominater by Pat Craven? That’s a good book to start with? Also, contact Womans Aid, via chat, email or phone… they will support you. Also, I found my female GP really helpful ❤️
      Keep posting x
