Wow you just described most of my relationship of a few decades to a tee. How can they do this? This behaviour had started to be show in front of children aswell which was making me even more anxious. He eventually lost it got arrested and no contact since, though I have just heard he has another partner already, probably had that one the who time.

Angry, upset, heartbroken, angry devastated never felt so many emotions. Been the worst year of my life.

Sorry for rant having a very bad week.

Im new too, the same as you been reading all forums and they have really helped. Our situation sounds very similar and like you I have found the roller coaster of emotions very hard at times, but have tried to stay strong for the children, who are older now but been very difficult for us all. Lots of new firsts for us and lots of hard bumps along the way, and not over yet by a long way.

But we have both come this far we can continue and get the peace we all deserve.

Wow you put into words exactly what I had been feeling for many many years, and I nearly lost myself totally. Please do not wait that long and run as soon as you can. The relief and pressure then goes and you will be able to breathe again, which is where I am just arriving now. Please take care of yourself. Sending hugs.

Hi new to this, just got out of abusive controlling relationship that went on for many years. I always stayed strong and ignored the verbal abuse but this time it went way too far. Have many low points but know we are soo better off  without him in our lives. Reading some of the forums it is like reading my life story, I wish I had known about this site along time ago and maybe wouldn’t have felt so alone., but I have now and it’s helping alot. Thankyou your all so strong.
